Whalefin released an announcement saying that parent company Amber Japan will be renamed S. BLOX. The announcement also added that the company was acquired by Quetta Web, a subsidiary of Sony, in August 2023. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Sony said in a press release that they plan to restart the cryptocurrency exchange soon and will launch a new app. It is reported that Amber Japan, formerly known as DeCurret, was acquired by crypto finance company Amber Group in 2022.
